Bronze Collection

Many of the bronzes come from a private collection in the USA put together in the 1970s. These are choice items from the grand tour through to the late 19th century. Many cast by the famous foundry Barbedienne in Paris and one of my favourite foundries Chiurazzi of Naples, one of the first foundries given permission by the Italian government to cast two of the great finds in Pompeii, the Narcissus and the Dancing Fawn. These still today look wonderful in a courtyard setting. The oldest item is a Greek burial bucket dating back to 4th Century BC. The youngest, by my very dear friend and internationally renowned French figurative sculptor Nicholas Lavarenne.
I hope you enjoy my selection
