Palissy Ware is a 19th century term for ceramics produced in the style of French potter Bernard Palissy. This style of pottery is characterized by 3D ceramics of aquatics, snakes, fish, lizards, frogs, and snails arranged onto plates, wall art and platters. Palissy ware was also the name given by Minton & Co for the earthenware known as 'majolica'.
