A pair of Swedish early Empire chairs in original grey paint and adorned with dark painted foliage accents by Ephraim Ståhl, circa 1810. These Swedish chairs have sabre legs to the front and back with the back rest sweeping elegantly towards scrolled ends. Both the backrest and seat pad are upholstered in a calico and framed with a black braid contrasting against the painted frame. 


Upholstery is stained and braiding is loose in areas.
