A large oil on canvas painting of the Flamenco dancer, Maria Albaicin, signed by Belgian artist, Roland Cassiman, 1968.
Roland Cassiman (1937-) won first prize in 1968 with this painting which has been written on the back of the canvas - "Grand prix de la ville de Nimes (france)" The painting is signed to the front and back. Many of his artwork revolves around music and dancing especially jazz and flamenco.
Maria Albaicin was a Spanish flamenco dancer turned actress, who worked during the 1960s-1970s and stared in films such as 'Magic Fountain' and 'The Uninhibited'.
Frame has some light damage otherwise in great condition.
