A Swedish pier mirror from the Empire period with glazed painted scenes of Roman soldiers and a horse drawn chariot being seen off by a mother and child in the top frieze, and in the bottom, white painted floral details, doves and a winged goddess image. The bottom and top paintings are flanked with carved columns and surrounded by gilt beading. The mirror is likewise framed with gilt beading, cream paint and ebonised leaf carving. circa 1800


The frame has some signs of aging with a large chip to the bottom of the frame.
