Michael Higgins (1908-1999) and Frances Higgins (1912-2004) met in Chicago and were married in 1948. They had a fascination of modern glass fusing. Their works appeared in upscale retail stores and they were recognized as pioneers in their field due to the uniqueness of the fused glass objects they produced.
