An "Untitled" wood and relief wall panel by Hans Richter, circa 1970s

Hans Richter (1888-1976) was a German painter and abstract artist who was part of the Dada movement. He was the co-founder of the "Artistes Radicaux" in Zurich in 1919, believing that artwork should be political and support the revolution. Collages in different materials were very typical of Dadaism, as collage was, by nature riotious and anarchic.
